Privacy notice

Who we are
Comrade is an investing assistant for the Nigerian and US markets. This notice explains what we keep about you and why, under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we keep to run the service
Your account details, your investing profile, your portfolio and watchlist, your alerts, and your conversations with Comrade, so it can answer you and remember your preferences.
Letting Comrade learn from your conversations
Comrade trains its own models so it can answer better, and with your permission uses what it keeps as training examples. This is off unless you turn it on, in Settings, under Privacy. Nothing of yours is kept for training before you turn it on.
What Comrade keeps when this is on: your chats with it, its answers, and the account details it used (holdings, goal, watchlist, saved preferences).
Before anything is kept, we remove passwords, codes and keys we can detect, and we never keep your broker login.
What happens when you turn it off: we stop keeping anything new. What was kept loses your name, email, phone number, account numbers, exact amounts and its link to your account. Details such as which stocks you held stay in the text.
Deleting your account does the same, and so does a formal erasure request. You can turn it on again later; only what you say from then on is kept.
Market data
Comrade also trains on its own analysis of public market data and news, which contains nothing about you.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or erase what we hold about you, and withdraw consent at any time. For chats kept for training, a formal erasure request does the same as turning it off and keeps the rest only in anonymised form. We remove the link that ties it to your account, though we cannot promise anonymisation is perfect for every sentence you ever sent us.
Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
